About the role

The Indiana University School of Medicine-Fort Wayne (IUSM-FW) seeks a clinical-track faculty member in the Department of Anatomy, Cell Biology and Physiology. This position focuses on teaching medical and professional students, particularly in physiology, cell biology, and anatomy of organ systems.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the IUSM years one and two teaching mission
  • Participate in IUSM-FW’s Scholarly Concentration program in Health Care Integration and Healthy Aging
  • Engage in scholarly activities that mentor students, preferably in the areas of basic science or medical education
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across fields
  • Engage in relevant service opportunities with the department and school

Requirements

Competitive candidates should have a significant background in teaching medical and professional students. An active research program is not a requirement, but the ability to engage in scholarship that mentors students is considered a plus.

Qualifications

  • Doctoral or terminal degree required

Skills

Preference will be given to candidates who can effectively integrate their teaching and research in the context of health care integration and healthy aging.
