Assistant Professor of Chemistry

About the Role
The Department of Chemistry at Susquehanna University seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor in analytical chemistry, starting August 2027.
Responsibilities
- Teach courses in the department’s introductory sequence, including General Chemistry and Methods of Chemical Analysis.
- Develop and teach a special topics course in the candidate’s area of expertise.
- Participate in the university’s First Year Seminar program.
- Establish a research program in analytical or bioanalytical chemistry with significant undergraduate student involvement.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Chemistry (required).
- College-level teaching experience and/or postdoctoral research experience (strongly preferred).
- Background in chromatography (HPLC, LC/MS) (preferred).
- Demonstrated potential for excellence in undergraduate teaching and mentoring.
