About the role
The David B. O'Maley College of Business at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona Beach Campus, invites applications for a non-tenure-track Assistant Professor of Accounting. This position is ideal for an accomplished accounting professional who is passionate about developing the next generation of aviation/aerospace business leaders. We are particularly interested in candidates who bring significant aviation/aerospace industry experience and are looking for an opportunity to share their knowledge, mentor students, and remain engaged with their profession in a meaningful way. Applicants must hold a graduate degree in Accounting from an accredited institution and possess an active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate accounting courses
- Maintain academic and professional qualifications consistent with AACSB standards
- Participate in assurance-of-learning and curriculum assessment activities
- Advise and mentor students
- Contribute to service at the department, college, and university levels
Requirements
- Hold a graduate degree in Accounting from an accredited institution
- Possess an active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential
- Professional experience in accounting is highly valued
- Prior university teaching experience is preferred but not required
- Significant knowledge of or experience in the aviation/aerospace industry is encouraged
