About the role
The Mechanical Engineering Department at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona Beach, is inviting applicants for a non-tenure track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor. This is a teaching-focused position with a general expectation of teaching 4 sections per semester in the fall and spring semesters plus optional summer courses and moderate service. This position has no research expectations, although opportunities for research may exist. Non-tenure track faculty members at Embry-Riddle are eligible for future promotion based on job performance and length of service.
Responsibilities
- Teach 4 sections per semester in the fall and spring semesters, and optional summer courses in Mechanical Engineering and Engineering Sciences.
- Match teaching load to faculty expertise and interests.
- Advise student project teams.
Requirements
- A strong desire to focus on innovative and high-quality instruction in a collegial and collaborative environment.
- A PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Prior teaching and/or industrial experience is encouraged.
- An interest in, and experience with, advising student project teams is highly desirable.
