About the role

Long Island University is seeking an experienced and talented full-time faculty NTTA member to join the digital game design and development program. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses, mentor students, and contribute to the development of a dynamic and experimental game design curriculum and culture.

Responsibilities

  • Teach a wide range of classes (introductory and advanced game development, gameplay programming, studio)
  • Develop a curriculum to reflect current industry standards and emerging trends
  • Mentor and advise students on academic progress and portfolio development
  • Support student projects, including capstones and collaborative team-based work
  • Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum planning, and faculty advisory boards

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Game Design, Interactive Media, Digital Media, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
  • Varied and deep portfolio of published games
  • Strong understanding of game systems, and mastery in a variety of gameplay engines
  • Teaching experience at the college level
