Assistant Professor - Human Performance /Division of Communication Sciences and Disorders
About the role
The successful candidate will contribute to the mission of West Virginia University and the program in Communication Sciences and Disorders housed within the School of Medicine. They will provide high-quality clinical services in the WVU Speech, Language, and Hearing Clinic to diverse populations with primary expertise related to developmental communication disorders (pediatric diagnostics and treatment). Additionally, they will train students for the delivery of speech-language pathology services.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical services in the WVU Speech, Language, and Hearing Clinic to diverse populations with primary expertise related to developmental communication disorders (pediatric diagnostics and treatment).
- Train students for the delivery of speech-language pathology services.
- Engage in active Division, University, and professional service activities, including participation in Division and committee meetings as well as recruitment and review of applicants to the master’s in speech-language pathology programs.
Requirements
- Master of Science/Arts in Speech Language Pathology
- West Virginia Speech-Language Pathology license or eligibility for a West Virginia Speech-Language Pathology license
- Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence
- Prior experience in clinical supervision is preferred
