Assistant Professor (HS Clinical) Electrophysiology Cardiologist
About the role
The Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiovascular Medicine, and the Cardiovascular Institute at UC San Diego seek an academic electrophysiology cardiologist.
The selected candidate will provide clinical care to patients, train and teach medical students, residents, and fellows, and may have opportunities to conduct clinical trials.
The appointment will be at the Assistant Professor level in the HS Clinical series.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing clinical care to patients
- Training and teaching medical students, residents, and fellows
- Conducting clinical trials (if applicable)
Requirements
Candidates must have:
- An MD or equivalent degree
- Board certification or eligibility in electrophysiology
- A California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California

Benefits
The appointee will be a member of the Health Sciences Compensation Plan, which includes limitations on outside professional activities and clinical moonlighting.
