The Electrical and Microelectronic Engineering Technology Department at Rochester Institute of Technology invites applications for an Associate Professor position specializing in nanoelectronics, semiconductor devices, or digital electronics. Requirements
- Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field
- Record of refereed publications in semiconductor materials, device physics, CMOS processing, neuromorphic/AI semiconductor devices, memory devices, III-V semiconductor epitaxy, or related areas
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experience in cleanroom environments and fabrication techniques
- Teaching experience in semiconductor and microelectronics-related fields
- Potential for securing external funding
- Ability to collaborate effectively within and beyond the department
Qualifications
- Extensive fabrication experience in a cleanroom environment
- Strong record of refereed publications in relevant areas
- Effective teaching experience, including serving as a Teaching Assistant
- Ability to establish and conduct sponsored research
- Commitment to fostering a community centered around student-centeredness, professional development, and collaboration
Skills
Proficiency in semiconductor device physics, CMOS processing, neuromorphic/AI semiconductor devices, memory devices, III-V semiconductor epitaxy, and related areas is essential. The successful candidate will also possess strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
