About the role
The Department of Cell and Molecular Biology at Tulane University seeks an innovative and collaborative tenure-track Assistant Professor to begin July 1, 2026. The ideal candidate will focus on developmental or regenerative vascular biology, using microphysiological systems, organoids, induced pluripotent stem cells, and innovative models or methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Establish a vigorous, independent research program in vascular development and function
- Mentor graduate students
- Contribute to undergraduate and graduate teaching within the department
Requirements
- PhD in cell biology, molecular biology, developmental biology, or a related field
- Postdoctoral training in vascular biology or a related field
- Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals
- Experience with microphysiological systems, organoids, induced pluripotent stem cells, and innovative models or methodologies
