About the role

The West Virginia University Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine seeks to fill two tenure-track positions at the Assistant Professor rank. Candidates with innovative research programs focused on the fundamental mechanisms underlying human disease are particularly sought.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an extramurally funded research program
• Participate in departmental teaching at the undergraduate, graduate or professional levels

Requirements

• A terminal degree in the biomedical or related fields
• At least one year’s postdoctoral experience in a related field
• High-quality publications

Qualifications

• Candidate must have a PhD in the biomedical or biological sciences or equivalent
• Must have 2 years of postdoctoral training in the biomedical or biological sciences
• Must demonstrate successful contributions to biomedical research
