About the role
The West Virginia University Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine seeks to fill two tenure-track positions at the Assistant Professor rank. Candidates with innovative research programs focused on the fundamental mechanisms underlying human disease are particularly sought.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain an extramurally funded research program
- Participate in departmental teaching at the undergraduate, graduate or professional levels
Requirements
- A terminal degree in the biomedical or related fields
- At least one year’s postdoctoral experience in a related field
- High-quality publications
Qualifications
- Candidate must have a PhD in the biomedical or biological sciences or equivalent
- Must have 2 years of postdoctoral training in the biomedical or biological sciences
- Must demonstrate successful contributions to biomedical research
