About the Role

The West Virginia University Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine seeks to fill two tenure-track positions at the Assistant Professor rank. Candidates with innovative research programs focused on fundamental mechanisms underlying human disease are particularly sought.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an extramurally funded research program.
• Participate in departmental teaching at the undergraduate, graduate, or professional levels.

Requirements

• Terminal degree in biomedical or related fields.
• At least one year of postdoctoral experience in a related field.
• High-quality publications.

A candidate with a PhD in another field will be considered, provided they have 2 years of postdoctoral training in the biomedical or biological sciences and have demonstrated successful contributions to biomedical research.
