Position Overview
Emory University’s Department of Rehabilitation Medicine is seeking a motivated PMR-qualified physician to lead an academic inpatient rehab team focused on neurologically diagnosed patients, including major stroke cases. The role also includes general physiatry and cancer rehabilitation services. The physician will participate in teaching, clinical service, and scholarly activities, with a focus on both inpatient and outpatient care.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical services 5 weekdays per week; 4 hours/week for administrative duties
- Provide night/weekend call coverage 2–3 weeks per year
- Supervise and teach residents, fellows, and other trainees
- Participate in scholarly activities, including publications, presentations, and professional blogs
- Contribute to process improvement and committee participation as directed
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree
- G.A. medical license
- Board-eligible or Board-certified in PM&R
- PREFERRED: experience in academic rehabilitation medicine and stroke care
