Role Overview

The Assistant Professor in Computer Science & Engineering at Medhavi Skills University (MSU) will contribute to a skill-integrated, industry-aligned academic ecosystem focused on applied learning, employability enhancement, and outcome-based education. The role integrates teaching, curriculum delivery, applied research, and industry collaboration in alignment with UGC Regulations (as applicable), AICTE norms for technical education, and MSU’s model of competency-based and experiential learning. The incumbent is expected to actively support MSU’s mission of producing industry-ready graduates through hands-on pedagogy, project-based learning, and continuous engagement with evolving technology ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities

• Teaching and Skill-Based Academic Delivery

• Deliver theory, laboratory, and workshop-based instruction in Computer Science & Engineering courses

• Implement outcome-based education (OBE) with measurable learning outcomes aligned to industry requirements

• Conduct project-based learning, case-based instruction, and experiential learning sessions

• Develop and continuously update course materials aligned with emerging technologies and industry practices

• Evaluate student performance through continuous assessment, practical evaluation, and competency-based grading

Curriculum Development and Industry Alignment

• Contribute to design and revision of curriculum aligned with NEP 2020, UGC guidelines, and industry skill frameworks

• Integrate industry certifications, micro-credentials, and applied modules into academic delivery

• Participate in academic audits, curriculum benchmarking, and quality enhancement processes (NAAC/NBA/NIRF readiness)

• Support development of skill labs, simulation environments, and applied learning modules

Applied Research, Innovation, and Industry Collaboration

• Engage in applied research relevant to industry problems and societal challenges

• Publish research in peer-reviewed journals and reputed conferences (SCIE/Scopus/Web of Science preferred)

• Contribute to consultancy, industry projects, and sponsored research initiatives

• Support innovation ecosystem through student projects, hackathons, prototypes, and patent development

• Collaborate with industry partners for real-world problem statements and solution development

Student Mentoring and Employability Development

• Mentor students for internships, placements, entrepreneurship, and higher studies

• Guide capstone projects aligned with industry use-cases and applied domains

• Support skill development in coding, system design, and emerging technologies

• Facilitate skill development in coding, system design, and emerging technologies

• Support student participation in industry competitions, innovation challenges, and certification programs

Institutional and Academic Engagement

• Participate in departmental governance, academic committees, and institutional development activities

• Contribute to accreditation processes (NAAC, NBA, NIRF) through documentation and academic inputs

• Support faculty development programs (FDPs), workshops, seminars, and industry interaction sessions

• Engage in outreach activities and partnerships with industry and academic institutions

Qualifications & Skills Required

• B.E./B.Tech (or equivalent UG degree) and M.E./M.Tech (or equivalent PG degree) in Computer Science & Engineering or relevant discipline (Information Technology, Computer Applications, or equivalent) with First Class or equivalent CGPA as per norms.
• Ph.D. in relevant specialization (preferred)
• Eligibility as per UGC/AICTE norms
• 0–3 years of teaching / industry / research experience preferred
• Fresh Ph.D. scholars and high-potential early-career candidates encouraged to apply
• Technical and Applied Competencies
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, C/C++ and modern development frameworks.
• Proficiency in any one of the applied domains: Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Cyber Security, Cloud Computing, IoT, Full Stack Development.
• Exposure to industry tools, platforms, and software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices.
• Familiarity with LMS platforms and digital/experiential teaching tools.

• Ability to deliver hands-on, project-driven, and competency-based learning experiences.
• Strong communication, mentoring, and student engagement capabilities.
