Essential Functions
- Deliver engaging classroom, lab, clinical, and seminar instruction aligned with course outcomes.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate curriculum, course materials, and student assessments.
- Advise and mentor students to support their academic, professional, and personal development.
- Plan, supervise, and evaluate student clinical learning experiences.
- Collaborate with faculty, preceptors, and clinical partners to enhance student learning.
- Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that supports student success and professional growth.
- Participate in university, college, and nursing program committees, activities, and service initiatives.
- Maintain expertise in nursing practice, teaching methodologies, and accreditation and program quality standards.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in nursing from an NLN-CNEA, ACEN or CCNE-accredited institution.
- Demonstrated current clinical experience in area of specialty.
- If no teaching experience, attend seminar for nurse educators.
- Holds current, active RN license in Nevada or Utah based on location of primary appointment.
