Assistant Professor, College of Medicine, Department of Anesthesiology
About the role
The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine (COM) seeks faculty anesthesiologists to join its dynamic Department of Anesthesiology. This position is part of an expansion of services at UC Health, the university’s health system.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including performing preoperative assessments, administering anesthesia, monitoring vital signs, managing pain relief, and handling emergencies.
- Teach and train UC medical students, UC Medical Center residents and fellows, UC nurse anesthesia program students, anesthesiology assistant students, and UC Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs).
- Design and conduct clinical trials and research studies relevant to anesthesia and/or pain management.
Requirements
- Prior to effective date of appointment:
- A medical degree (M.D. or D.O.)
- Completion of four-year anesthesiology residency
- Ohio medical license
