About the role
The person in this position is responsible for providing contributions to the department, resident teaching, and scientific endeavors by operating with the resident and one academic day working on papers, book chapters, research, and projects to the credit of UTMB. This position will also provide lectures on facial plastic and reconstructive topics and host a journal club and anatomic dissections with the residents. This position will also work with Dr. Maldonado Chapa as he builds his aesthetic practice.Responsibilities
- Provide contributions to the department and scientific endeavors
- Operate with the resident and one academic day working on papers, book chapters, research, and projects
- Provide lectures on facial plastic and reconstructive topics
- Host a journal club and anatomic dissections with the residents
- Work with Dr. Maldonado Chapa on his aesthetic practice
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited medical school
- Completed an ACGME approved residency training program in otolaryngology
- Training and interest in facial plastics and reconstructive surgery
- Certified/Board Eligible in Otolaryngology
- Eligible for or have a Texas Medical License without restrictions
