Assistant Professor Clinical Practice, Dermatology

About the role

The purpose of this position is to provide faculty support to meet the teaching, research, and patient care needs of the Department of Dermatology and assist in fulfilling UTMB’s threefold mission.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct patient care
• Providing consultative services
• Providing outpatient services
• Providing care of hospitalized patients
• Participating in all teaching activities of the Department, including conferences and lectures, bedside teaching, and rounds
• House staff supervision in the operating room, clinics, and inpatient services
• Continuing medical education
• Participating in local, regional, and national meetings
• Teaching medical students, house staff, nursing students, and allied health students
• Supervising and evaluating residents
• Providing medical direction
• Participating in committee memberships at the departmental and Health System level

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited medical school
• Completed an ACGME‑approved residency training program in dermatology
• Certified/Board Eligible in Dermatology
• Eligible for a Texas Medical license without restrictions
