St. John’s University, established in 1870, has two New York City campuses; international locations in Rome, Italy; Limerick, Ireland; and Paris, France; and study abroad locations around the world. About the Department

The Department of Business Analytics and Information Systems is a thriving department with 12 tenure-track/tenured faculty members. It offers the following degrees:

• B.S. in Business Analytics
• M.S. in Business Analytics
• MBA concentration in Information Systems
• MBA concentration in Business Analytics

Responsibilities

• Maintain an active research profile
• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in business analytics, from introductory to advanced levels
• Contribute to the university through service, including professional development, program development, assessment, and community engagement
• Integrate technology-supported learning pedagogy, particularly AI, into teaching
• Utilize different teaching modalities, including face-to-face, online, and hybrid

Requirements

• DBA or Ph.D. in Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a closely related field (ABDs in advanced dissertation stages will be considered)
• Effective and empathetic teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels
• Active participation in service-related activities

Qualifications

All specialization areas in Business Analytics will be considered; however, preference will be given to candidates with expertise in:

• Data mining
• Artificial intelligence
• Analytical computing
• Statistics
• Decision sciences

Preference will also be given to candidates who can support the growth of undergraduate and graduate programs.
