About the role
The successful candidate will teach at the nursing program(s) in Phoenix, Arizona. Responsibilities include conducting classroom instruction, supervising students in clinical and simulation/lab experiences, participating in curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation, and contributing to the College of Nursing's research portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Conduct classroom instruction
- Supervise students in clinical and simulation/lab experiences
- Participate in curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation
- Contribute to the College of Nursing’s expanding research portfolio
- Fulfill the responsibilities associated with teaching, service, and scholarship commensurate with the College’s Standards of Performance for Rank and Tenure, as well as the University guidelines for advancement in rank and tenure
Requirements
- Doctoral degree (nursing preferred)
- A minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience
- Evidence of teaching experience in didactic, simulation and clinical settings
- Evidence of mentoring experience with students and peers
- For early career faculty – Evidence of scholarly productivity and an emerging program of research is expected
Qualifications
- A current unencumbered license to practice as an RN in the state of Arizona, or eligibility for licensure
Skills
- Ability to work effectively with students and colleagues
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
