Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Professor - Health Services Research in Pharmacy

About the role

The University of Wisconsin School of Pharmacy, Clinical Practice, Innovation and Research (CliPIR) Division invites applications for one 12-month position at the rank of tenure-track Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor with tenure.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching in the School’s Health Services Research in Pharmacy (HSRP) graduate program.
  • Teaching in the School’s Doctor of Pharmacy program.
  • Mentoring graduate students in the School’s Health Services Research in Pharmacy (HSRP) graduate program.
  • Serving as a member of school and/or university committees, and/or professional organizations.
  • Advancing the research and scholarship mission of the School of Pharmacy by developing an independent and externally funded research program in an area of expertise as well as establishing collaborations leading to a sustained program of publishable scholarly work.

Requirements

  • Candidates at the assistant professor level are expected to demonstrate potential for establishing an independent and externally funded research program and teaching at the PharmD and graduate student level.
  • Candidates at the associate or full professor level are required to have demonstrated sustained extramural grant support, as well as research, scholarship, and teaching proficiency that meet the criteria for tenure and rank at University of Wisconsin-Madison and UW School of Pharmacy.

Qualifications

  • A Ph.D. (or equivalent) in public health policy, health services research, pharmaco-epidemiology, or related field.

Skills

  • Demonstrated mentoring of underrepresented scholars.
  • Proven ability to establish public and private sector research partnerships to implement existing or new innovations that advance and demonstrate the value of pharmacy practice.
  • Experience with innovation co-design especially with underserved populations.
