About the Role
This is a 12-month appointment for a faculty member in the Adult Medicine Division at the Jerry H. Hodge School of Pharmacy, with clinical practice responsibilities (approximately 50% time) focused on adult acute care at UT Southwestern Medical Center and the Harold C. Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center—the only NCI-designated cancer center in North Texas. The position operates across four campuses (Amarillo, Abilene, Dallas/Fort Worth, and Lubbock) and offers strong mentorship, institutional support for teaching and scholarship, and a collegial, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to a wide range of teaching activities, including didactic, laboratory, and case/simulation-based instruction
- Provide experiential instruction within the innovative Pharm.D. curriculum
- Deliver clinical practice services in inpatient oncology and adult medicine, including both patient care and experiential teaching at UTSW Medical Center and the Harold C. Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center
- Engage in scholarship and service consistent with departmental and school goals
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree
- Completion of a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency and PGY2 Oncology residency or equivalent experience
- Eligibility for Texas pharmacist licensure
