The University of Minnesota invites applications for two tenure-track positions at the Assistant or Associate level in the Accounting Department at the Minnesota Carlson School of Management. Candidates who conduct theory/analytical research or have teaching and research interests in the area of AI adoption and integration are preferred. The appointment will begin August 2027.
About The Department
The Department of Accounting consists of eleven tenure-track faculty members committed to excellence in teaching and research. The tenure-track faculty teach accounting courses to undergraduate and masters’ level students, and accounting research seminars to PhD students. The faculty conducts empirical/archival and theoretical/analytical research in accounting and related disciplines.
Qualifications
- Minimum Requirements: A Ph.D. degree in accounting or a related discipline from a recognized research university prior to beginning employment.
- Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated potential for teaching and research excellence, including publications in high-quality journals in accounting and related fields, and a strong commitment to serve the department, the school, and the profession. Preferred candidates will conduct theory/analytical research or be interested in researching and teaching in areas of AI adoption and integration.
Pay And Benefits
Pay Range: Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. The salary range for this position is $250,000 - $290,000 ; depending on education/qualifications/experience
