Assistant Professor, Accounting
About the role
The Dolan School of Business at Fairfield University invites applications for one tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in the Accounting Department, beginning Fall 2027 and subject to budget approval. Candidates must have/be near completion of a terminal degree. Professional certification in accounting is required. All teaching and research areas will be considered.
Responsibilities
Successful candidates will demonstrate a commitment to innovation and demonstrated excellence in using technology in the classroom, and quality research. They will also be responsible for:
- Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in accounting.
- Conducting original research in accounting.
- Engaging in service activities within the Accounting Department and the broader academic community.
Requirements
Candidates must have/be near completion of a terminal degree in accounting or a related field. Professional certification in accounting is required. A strong record of scholarship and teaching effectiveness is essential.

Benefits
