About the Role
The Bryan School of Business and Economics at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro is seeking qualified applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the Department of Accounting and Finance beginning August 1, 2027. The University emphasizes high quality in research and teaching, with primary teaching responsibilities at the undergraduate level, including both online and face-to-face instruction. Service to the University and to the academic and/or practicing professions is also expected.
Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit
The mission of the Department of Accounting and Finance (ACF) is to provide high-quality undergraduate education programs for accounting and finance majors and graduate accounting education. This is achieved by integrating quality education with relevant research and professional service for firms, industry, and academe, producing principled leaders and exceptional problem solvers with an innovative mindset and a commitment to improve and sustain organizations in a global environment and their communities.
Qualifications
- Applicants should hold a Doctorate from an AACSB or EQUIS-accredited school with a specialization in Accounting or a related field.
- ABDs who expect completion by August 1, 2027, may be considered.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate courses in accounting, both online and face-to-face.
- Engage in high-quality research and publish in reputable journals.
- Provide service to the University, academic community, and/or practicing professions.
Pay
Commensurate with experience.
