About the role

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track.

Responsibilities

  • Expertise in the specific area of general obstetrics and gynecology and complex family planning
  • Primarily report to the Academic Specialist Division and secondarily engage with the Complex Family Planning Division
  • Teaching responsibilities may include clinical training and supervision of medical students, Ob/Gyn residents and Complex Family Planning fellows in both the hospital and outpatient settings and participation in formal teaching curriculum
  • Clinical responsibilities may include providing full-scope obstetrics and gynecology and complex family planning in the ambulatory and inpatient settings
  • Excellent clinical and interpersonal skills are required
  • A commitment to resident and medical student education is required

Requirements

  • An M.D. or equivalent degree
  • Successfully completed an ACGME-accredited residency
  • Board certified/eligible by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in complex family planning
