Assistant Professor – Academic Specialist in Ob/Gyn & Complex Family Planning
About the role
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of general obstetrics and gynecology and complex family planning. Successful candidates will primarily report to the Academic Specialist Division and secondarily engage with the Complex Family Planning Division.
Responsibilities
- Teaching responsibilities may include clinical training and supervision of medical students, Ob/Gyn residents and Complex Family Planning fellows in both the hospital and outpatient settings and participation in formal teaching curriculum.
- Clinical responsibilities may include providing full-scope obstetrics and gynecology and complex family planning in the ambulatory and inpatient settings.
- Excellent clinical and interpersonal skills are required.
- A commitment to resident and medical student education is required.
Requirements
- Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree.
- Candidates must have successfully completed an ACGME-accredited residency and be board certified/eligible by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in complex family planning.

- Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited residency and board certification/eligibility in complex family planning.
