About the role
Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Division of Infectious Diseases in the Department of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track.
Qualifications
- M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree
Teaching responsibilities
- High quality teaching of CHOP fellows and residents, as well as medical students from the Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania
Clinical responsibilities
- Providing coverage in one or more of three inpatient consultation services:
- One service focused on children with general infectious diseases
- One dedicated to the care of immunocompromised hosts
- One attending-NP service currently focused on NICU and Ortho patients
- Seeing patients in the Division's busy outpatient clinical practice
- Providing collaborative outpatient care through dedicated "partner-clinics" to outpatients with other underlying conditions, including malignancies, bone marrow and organ transplantation, and cystic fibrosis
- Some local travel may be required as CHOP expands its footprint (i.e., King of Prussia Hospital, potential sites in NJ) and the Division partners with outside organizations
