Anticipated assignment: January 2027 through March 2027.
Purpose
Provides support to the instructional process with specific responsibility for directing assigned programs and services at a high school; serves as a resource to staff, students, and parents; supervises assigned personnel; resolves student management issues; coordinates school activities; and addresses campus issues.
Responsibilities
- Collaborates with internal and external personnel, parents, and students to implement and maintain services and programs.
- Coordinates assigned programs, projects, and activities (e.g., 8th grade orientation, drug/alcohol/tobacco-free program, A+ Program, Academic Awards Night, graduation, fundraisers, Back to School Night, SROs, newsletters, websites, master schedule, calendar, handbook, lockers, ID cards, parking, MAP test).
- Facilitates communication between personnel, students, and parents to evaluate situations, solve problems, and resolve conflicts.
- Facilitates meetings, processes, and committees (e.g., curriculum, safety, site advisory) to achieve school, district, and state objectives.
- Implements policies, procedures, and processes to comply with mandated requirements.
- Intervenes in student behavior issues to assist in modifying behavior and developing interpersonal skills.
- Manages administrative functions (e.g., student disciplinary policy, school schedule, assigned personnel) to enforce policies and maintain operational efficiency.
- Monitors teacher participation in extracurricular events to ensure equitable workload distribution.
- Participates in meetings, workshops, and seminars to convey and gather information required for job functions.
- Prepares materials (e.g., reports, student activities, correspondence, audits) to document activities and provide reference.
- Presents information (e.g., regulations, policies) to communicate and gain feedback.
- Represents the school in community forums to maintain support for educational goals and address school-related issues.
- Responds to inquiries to resolve issues, provide information, and offer direction.
- Supervises certificated and classified personnel to ensure professional growth and achievement of objectives.
- Supervises school events and activities (e.g., games, dances, debates, plays, art shows, decathlons) to ensure a safe environment.
- Supervises school personnel (e.g., teachers, substitutes, campus and cafeteria supervisors) to monitor performance and achieve school objectives.
- Supports the principal by assisting with administrative functions.
- Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient work unit functioning.
Requirements
- Job-related experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
- Master’s degree in a job-related area.
- Missouri Administrative Certificate.
- Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance.
