Assistant Preschool Teacher

About the role

The successful candidate will join Heartfelt Impressions Learning Centers in Rochester as an Assistant Teacher in the Preschool classroom. This is a career opportunity for those passionate about early childhood education and eager to gain professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Care, supervision, and management of a classroom in accordance with set goals and curriculum plans utilizing High Scope
• Engage children with fun, hands-on activities that foster cognitive and social-emotional growth
• Collaborate with the Lead Teacher to implement curriculum and support the educational goals of the classroom

Requirements

• Must have full time availability and reliable transportation
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• CPR Certification is required but can be completed within 30 days of hire
• Prior experience in early childhood education (preferred)
• Have a Child Development Associate credential (CDA) or working towards a degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (preferred)
• Ability to pass a Background Check (fingerprinting)

Pay

$14.50-$20.50/hour (rate based on years of experience in early childhood education plus licensing credential, CDA or degree in the field)

Monday - Friday 8:30am-5:30pm
