Primary Responsibilities
- Is responsible for the overall supervision and daily class functions of a group of children.
- Observes all policies and regulations of our school and at the local, state, or national regulatory agencies pertaining to the health, safety, and care of children.
- Affirms each child's developmental needs on an ongoing basis.
- Implements the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule following Primrose Balanced Learning® curriculum and programming.
- Plans with members of the Leadership Team the parent-teacher conferences and student evaluations.
- Maintains an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore and make decisions with confidence.
- Provides verbal recognition and acceptance to children while providing precise and consistent expectations for the children's behavior.
- Maintains an overall professional personal appearance adhering to the guidelines offered in the Primrose Alpharetta East Employee Handbook.
- Assists in other capacities that Director or designee determines are necessary.
Qualifications
- Preschool-age Classrooms (3-4 years old)
- Monday thru Friday, various full-time shifts
- Must be energetic and fun
- Must be able to relate positively with young children in a fast-paced environment
- Must be nurturing, warm, friendly, and patient
- Must have a passion for children and work well with a team
- Must meet basic requirements of local childcare regulatory agency
- Previous teaching or assistant teaching position in a licensed early childhood program preferred
- Knowledge of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children

$14.00 - $16.00 per hour
