Responsibilities

• Aid the Lead Teacher in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans
• Engage children in active learning and positive interactions to support their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
• Prepare and maintain classroom materials to ensure a safe, clean, and inviting learning environment
• Supervise children, provide individualized support, and foster a sense of belonging within the classroom
• Communicate regularly with parents about their child’s progress and daily activities
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines and licensing regulations to maintain a secure environment
• Assist with daily care routines and tasks to promote a nurturing learning atmosphere

Requirements

• A high school diploma is required
• An associate or bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred
• Previous experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting is required
• Show empathy and compassion towards young children
• Work productively without direct supervision
• Have a basic understanding of child development
• Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with handling children

• Meet state minimum education, experience, and credential requirements
