About the role
Springview Academy of Mt. Pleasant is a licensed childcare center seeking Assistant Teachers for our Pre‑K classroom.
Responsibilities
- Assist the lead teacher with all aspects of the classroom in a manner consistent with the philosophy and goals of the center.
- Implement activities that encourage each child’s growth in the areas of emotion, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development.
- Take direction, accept constructive criticism and feedback, and make improvements and changes as necessary for the betterment of the quality of the program.
- Create and maintain an environment that is clean and safe for all children.
- Establish a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
- Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to pass all background checks.
Qualifications
- Preference for a minimum of 30 days of experience working in a licensed childcare facility.

Pay
$15 – $16 per hour, based on education and experience.
Schedule
Monday – Friday, 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm.
