Assistant Police Chief
About the role
The City of Bellevue is seeking an Assistant Chief to lead the Operations Bureau and/or the Investigative and Administrative Services Bureau. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader with a passion for policing, strong communication skills, and a collaborative approach.
Responsibilities
- Direct staff and manage the bureau’s budget
- Develop innovative ideas and implement best practices in law enforcement
- Plan and organize operations
- Take command during major incidents and serve as a liaison with local, state, and federal agencies
Requirements
The City of Bellevue requires a strategic leader with a degree in criminal justice, business, public administration, or related fields. Three years of progressively responsible experience as a police captain or major is preferred.

Benefits
The City of Bellevue offers a competitive salary range of $189,537 to $261,569, with benefits including a state income tax exemption.
