Assistant Plant Manager (Bilingual - English/Spanish)
About the role
Nutrition 101, headquartered in Pendleton, Indiana, is a leader in eco-friendly waste handling and innovative food lifecycle management solutions. We are seeking a Bilingual Assistant Plant Manager to help lead our manufacturing operation and support a dedicated team of fewer than 20 employees.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the daily management and coordination of plant operations.
- Direct and support the activities of an established production team.
- Monitor production schedules and ensure operational objectives are met.
- Maintain a strong presence on the production site, providing leadership, coaching, and guidance to employees.
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, teamwork, and accountability.
- Support employee training, development, and performance management efforts.
- Work closely with plant leadership to identify and implement process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
- Troubleshoot production issues and work to resolve them efficiently.
- Track productivity and help drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Serve as a key communication link between management and production employees.
- Step into production roles when staffing shortages occur, absences arise, or additional hands are needed to meet customer demands.
- Lead by example through a strong work ethic and willingness to perform hands-on production work.
Requirements
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish required.
- Previous manufacturing, production, or industrial operations experience required.
- 3-5 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate, coach, and develop employees.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing production priorities.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency with standard business software.
- Ability to perform physical production work when required.
- Mechanically inclined with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform basic maintenance and repairs using hand and specialized tools.
- Able to work around dairy products.
- Able to lift heavy objects (up to 40lbs repetitively) and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Able to stand and be on one's feet for extended periods of time.
- Able to work in non-climate-controlled environments.
- Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal history background check.
- Reliable and accountable individual.
- Able to work independently and as a team.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be comfortable leading from the front, working alongside the crew, and ensuring production goals, quality standards, and safety expectations are achieved.

Pay
The salary for this position is $70k-$80k/Annually.
Schedule
The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday + Weekend Coverage.
