About the role

Lead and oversee financial reporting activities, ensuring compliance throughout the department.
Support the Plant Controller and other plant management in maximizing plant and business results while providing oversight for all manufacturing accounting functions and activities.
Prepare timely and accurate financial reporting, lead month-end closing activities, compute monthly financial results, and reconcile accounts.
Prepare and oversee the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), Short-Term Forecast (STF), and Long-Range Financial Forecast (LRFF), while analyzing and explaining financial variances.
Manage payroll, accounts payable, financial review of capital expenditures, foreign currency transactions and revaluations, property tax returns, and make-versus-buy analyses.
Serve as the primary contact for internal and external auditors by providing audit documentation, supporting Sarbanes-Oxley Act compliance activities, and addressing audit inquiries and findings.
Provide leadership by coaching, training, mentoring, and developing the plant finance team while assisting with special projects.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting.
  • Certified Public Accountant and/or Master of Business Administration preferred.
  • Seven or more years of relevant accounting and finance experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Leadership, communication, and motivational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), company policies, and applicable governmental laws.
  • Experience with SAP, including uploads and builds.
  • Cost accounting and product costing experience.
  • Financial modeling and reporting experience.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to effectively interface and communicate with senior management and employees throughout the organization.
