Assistant or Associate Professor WOT- Rhinology and Endoscopic Skull Base Surgeon

About the role

The Assistant or Associate Professor WOT – Rhinology and Endoscopic Skull Base Surgeon will provide advanced clinical care in rhinology and endoscopic skull base surgery within the University of Washington medical system. This full-time, on-site position based in Seattle, WA, involves evaluating and treating patients with complex sinonasal, skull base, and related disorders, performing endoscopic surgical procedures, and collaborating in multidisciplinary care teams.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with complex sinonasal, skull base, and related disorders.
• Perform endoscopic surgical procedures.
• Collaborate in multidisciplinary care teams with neurosurgery, oncology, radiology, and other specialties.
• Teach medical students, residents, and fellows through lectures, surgical training, and curriculum development.
• Engage in scholarly activities such as clinical research, quality improvement projects, and publications to advance rhinology and skull base surgery.
• Participate in departmental meetings, conferences, and service to the university and broader community.

Qualifications

• Board-eligible or board-certified otolaryngologist with fellowship training or equivalent advanced expertise in rhinology and endoscopic skull base surgery.
• Demonstrated excellence in clinical skills for comprehensive medical and surgical management of sinonasal disease, skull base pathology, and related conditions.
• Strong teaching ability, including experience mentoring trainees, delivering didactic and hands-on instruction, and supporting competency-based education.
• Evidence of scholarly engagement through clinical research, publications, presentations, or quality improvement initiatives relevant to rhinology or skull base surgery.
• Commitment to collaborative, team-based care, with effective communication skills.
• Dedication to diversity, equity, inclusion, and respectful patient-centered care across varied backgrounds and communities.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in the state of Washington and for appropriate hospital credentialing and privileging.
• Interest in ongoing professional development, participation in national or international professional societies, and contribution to departmental and institutional service.
