Purpose

The Dickinson School of Business invites applications for a full-time professor to teach finance courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels. The ideal candidate will also be able to teach accounting courses or other courses offered through the School of Business. The candidate should maximize utilization of the new finance lab, integrate financial software (currently a Bloomberg terminal) in finance courses, and provide leadership for the School’s Student Managed Investment Fund.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses in personal finance, principles of finance, investments, portfolio analysis, financial management, international finance, and potentially new finance courses.
• Teach an MBA course in financial management.
• Advise and mentor students.
• Serve on university committees as assigned.
• Perform School of Business duties as assigned.
• Assist with the assessment process and accreditation reporting for the Finance major.
• Work with Admissions to recruit students to the Business School and University.
• Network within the community to help students connect with industry.
• Engage in professional and community activities for scholarship, professional development, and service.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in finance (required).
• Proficiency in office technology, office software (including various Microsoft tools), finance technology (e.g., Bloomberg), and classroom presentation software.
• Sufficient mobility and physical stamina to teach classes and travel as needed.
• Commitment to the vision and mission of Oklahoma Baptist University and the Paul Dickinson School of Business.
• Active membership in an evangelical Christian church, willingness to teach in accordance with the Baptist Faith & Message 2000, and agreement with the university's policy on human sexuality.

Preferred Qualifications

• Terminal degree in Finance.
• Additional 18 graduate hours in accounting.
• Successful teaching experience at the university level and industry experience.
• Experience with Bloomberg Terminal and/or other finance software.
