About the role

The Dauch College of Business and Economics, Department of Accounting and Management Information Systems, is seeking an Assistant/Associate Professor of Accounting (tenure‑track) or a Lecturer of Accounting (non‑tenure‑track, promotable), beginning Fall 2027. The anticipated start date is August 23, 2027, with a 9‑month fixed‑term appointment running from August 23, 2027 to May 12, 2028. Benefits are provided.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in accounting (tax, auditing, accounting information systems, financial accounting).
• Demonstrate excellence in teaching.
• Participate in service activities to the university, community, and profession.
• Assistant/Associate Professor candidates: conduct scholarly activities in their area of concentration to maintain AACSB Scholarly Academic status.

Requirements

• Assistant/Associate Professor candidates: earned doctorate from an AACSB‑accredited institution in an appropriate field and an active CPA license.
• Lecturer candidates: graduate degree in business and an active CPA license.
• Previous teaching experience, including demonstrated ability to teach effectively in a technology‑facilitated environment and in a traditional classroom setting.
