Assistant Operator - Hiring Event

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team in support of a manufacturing operation with a goal of increasing productivity; decreasing downtime and waste.
• Receive and follow directions from the Operator and/or Supervisor.
• Aid machine operators in setting up orders, mounting printing and cutting dies, ink adjustments, and ensuring quality checks are performed before, during, and upon completion of each order.
• Inspect the machine during the run and notify the Operator when acceptable parts are not being produced.
• Aid in the cleanup of equipment.
• Follow all company safety rules and lock-out/tag-out procedures.
• Maintain the shop and shop equipment according to 5S Standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must attend the hiring event on August 6th (8 AM - 5 PM EST).
• High School Graduate or GED.
• Passionate about maintaining a safe work environment.
• Ability to stack parts up to 30 lbs. for a period of up to 12 hours.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends, as needed.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work closely on a day-to-day basis with other production personnel.
• Ability to share ideas with others to solve problems of essential importance.

Pay

• Starting salary for position: $20 per hour.
• Bonus: Annual – Based upon achievement of plant performance metrics.

Schedule

• Paid Vacation: 2 weeks per calendar year.
• Pro-rata Vacation during the initial year of hire based upon start date within the calendar year.
