Assistant Operations Supervisor / Group Supervisor Asst

About the role

The Assistant Operations Supervisor supports the day-to-day operations of residential units, promoting client participation in treatment and adherence to unit programming. They also coordinate and facilitate key operational functions and provide immediate supervision to Security Counselors and Security Counselor Leads.

Responsibilities

• Aid other Group Supervisors in managing the daily operations of residential units, ensuring quality care in a safe and secure environment.
• Promote client participation in treatment and adherence to unit programming.
• Support and uphold MSOP policies, procedures, and expectations.
• Coordinate and facilitate key operational functions such as Job Coach activities, searches, and ICS (Incident Command System) drills.
• Provide immediate supervision to Security Counselors and Security Counselor Leads within the department.
• Affirm the overall operations of residential units, ensuring a safe, secure, and therapeutic environment.

Requirements

• One (1) year supervisory experience in a therapeutic, residential or corrective environment; OR
• Two (2) years lead work or professional experience in a therapeutic, residential or corrective environment providing counseling, rehabilitative patient care, or direction of client care programs; OR
• Three (3) years paraprofessional experience in a therapeutic, residential or corrective environment providing counseling, rehabilitative patient care, or direction of client care programs.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in: Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Rehabilitation Therapy, Health Sciences, a Behavioral Science or related field may be substituted for six (6) months of experience.
• One (1) year of any supervisory experience may be substituted for a maximum of six (6) months of experience.

Skills

• Experience working with patients/clients with sexual psychopathic personalities, sexually dangerous persons, mentally ill and dangerous, or with developmental disabilities.

Pay

$32.21 - $46.72 / hourly; $67,254 - $97,551 / annually
