Seeking a motivated and people-focused Operations Assistant Manager (OAM) to support day-to-day operational performance, employee engagement, and team development. The OAM plays a key role in guiding frontline teams, driving KPIs, and supporting the overall success of the program.
Responsibilities
- Knowledge of insurance verification workflows
- Understanding of payer rules and coverage determination
- Experience managing authorization/prior authorization processes
- Familiarity with specialty pharmacy, healthcare, or pharmacy benefit environments
- Experience leading teams that support patient access or reimbursement services
- Experience leading supervisors and/or large frontline teams
- Proven ability to manage KPIs, quality, productivity, and customer experience
- Experience coaching leaders and holding performance discussions
- Ability to translate client goals into operational action plans
- Experience managing end-to-end patient or member cases
- Ability to track work through completion and resolve barriers
- Understanding of case aging, escalation management, and follow-up processes
- Experience balancing productivity with quality and patient outcomes
- HIPAA and compliance awareness
- Experience working with healthcare documentation and workflows
- Minimal project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex compliance requirements to various stakeholders
- Proactive in identifying operational compliance issues and implementing effective solutions
Requirements
- Must have at least 6 months experience in Case Management and/or Benefits Verifications
- Flexible to work Monday-Friday and any 8 hours between 8:00AM-8:00PM EST
- Must be located in one of these states: FL, TN, NJ, TX, MI, PA

- Must be able to show stable work history and dependability
- Understand KPI and Operational Delivery/Execution with a strong desire to help, coach, and develop teams
- Must be able to complete a background check
Preferred Experience
- PBM, Specialty Pharmacy, Health Plan, Prior Authorization, Benefits Verification, Patient Support Program, Care Coordination, or Case Management operations
Schedule
Monday-Friday, any 8 hours between 8:00AM-8:00PM EST
