Job Duties

  • Supervise the day-to-day fiscal and administrative operations of the University Box Office.
  • In the absence of the Associate Director of Ticketing & Patron Services, manage all operations and functions of the University Box Office.
  • Manage general, personnel, and fiscal records for the University Box Office.
  • Perform all ticket system functions; create single and series ticketed events; process ticket orders; perform daily reconciliation of cash drawers and credit card system; process fiscal disbursements and charge back transactions; ensure fiscal operations are in compliance with Federal, State and University laws, regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Ensure box office credit card transactions are PCI Compliant.
  • Perform all duties as Purchasing Card liaison for Scheduling and Event Services.
  • Prepare correspondence and act as communication link between external and internal constituencies and University support services for Ticketing & Patron Services.
  • Develop, implement, and analyze strategies for Front-of-House event management in conjunction with other University event production departments and outside clients.
  • Maintain Ticketing & Patron Services social media pages.

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and related job experience.
    • Experience with public venues and ticketing system operations.
    • Previous bookkeeping, sales, and office management experience.

    • Knowledge of performance venue terminology and practices.
    • Excellent organization and customer service skills.
    • Able to train other employees.
    • Able to exercise judgment and discretion in interpreting and applying policies and procedures.
    • Public relations and negotiating skills.
    • Able to effectively communicate with a diverse group of students, faculty, staff and clientele in a professional setting.
    • Strong computer skills including knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and data management software.
    • Able to quickly learn specific computer software like Paciolan and 25Live.
    • Able to organize, prioritize, educate, and motivate student crews to act professionally.
    • Work efficiently under pressure.
    • Solve problems quickly and effectively.
    • Understanding of basic budgeting and bookkeeping practices.

      Benefits

      Salary range: $45,300.00- $61,100.00.

      Normal work hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

      Must be flexible to meet the special scheduling needs of the university.
