Role Overview

The Assistant Nurse Manager is a registered nurse supporting and collaborating with the nurse manager to lead a clinical unit. They aim to develop management skills, mentor staff, and promote a culture of excellence, teamwork, and patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

• Aid in staff recruitment, retention, and performance evaluations, coaching, and mentoring.
• Support clinical, operational, and financial goals by managing resources and ensuring quality care.
• Foster interdisciplinary collaboration, effective communication, and a safe, positive work environment.
• Promote evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participate in budget monitoring, resource management, and performance initiatives.
• Represent the organization professionally and engage in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications & Skills

• Registered nurse with a current license (RN) and relevant certifications (BLS, ACLS).
• Minimum of 3 years clinical experience.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and leadership skills.
• Desire to grow into management roles, with a focus on team development, data-driven decision making, and healthcare operations.
• Knowledge of risk management, accreditation standards, and healthcare financing preferred.
