Assistant Nurse Manager - Patient Care Leader - Mother/Baby/NICU

About the role

The Assistant Nurse Manager/Patient Care Leader is proficient in the care of a patient population utilizing effective management skills. They support the Nurse Manager in a supervisory capacity while managing team member and patient care issues, ongoing team member performance appraisal and the hiring, counseling and terminating process. They provide 24 hour/7 day accountability care for assigned patients and promote evidence-based clinical care that exemplifies the pursuit of clinical excellence.

Responsibilities

• Supports the Nurse Manager in a supervisory capacity
• Manages team member and patient care issues
• Ongoing team member performance appraisal
• Hiring, counseling, and terminating process
• Provides 24 hour/7 day accountability care for assigned patients
• Promotes evidence-based clinical care

Requirements

• Registered Nurse license
• BLS
• 2 years RN acute care experience
• BSN
• 1 year Nursing Leadership experience
• RN Mother/Baby and/or NICU experience
