Assistant Nurse Manager - Patient Care Leader - Labor & Delivery

About the role

BayCare Health Systems is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager - Patient Care Leader to join the Labor and Delivery team at Winter Haven Women's Hospital. This full-time, exempt position supports the Nurse Manager in a supervisory capacity while managing team member and patient care issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide proficient care for a patient population utilizing effective management skills.
• Support the Nurse Manager in ongoing team member performance appraisal and the hiring, counseling, and terminating process.
• Deliver complex nursing care and continuously promote quality care with a broad level of accountability for outcomes.
• Provide 24/7 accountability for assigned patients.
• Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to assist on the unit as needed.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.
• Minimum 2 years of RN acute care experience.
• Strong RN background in Labor & Delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (preferred).
• Minimum 1 year of leadership experience (preferred).

Schedule

• Full-time, 4/10-hour shifts: 1:00 PM – 11:00 PM.
• Occasional weekend work.
• On-call requirement.
