About the role
Full-time PACU position at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, working 40 hours per week, 6:30 am–5:00 pm.
Responsibilities
- Communicates and collaborates with the Manager, Director Nurse Anesthesia & PACU regarding departmental philosophy, goals, support needs and standards of care to ensure the highest quality of age appropriate patient care is provided.
- Directs and evaluates the activities of the clinical PACU staff.
- Promotes and facilitates the professional growth of staff members.
- Coordinates, facilitates, and mediates daily workflow utilizing management principles and strategies.
- Ensures that age/developmentally appropriate patient care is provided for the age groups served.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with one year PACU experience; BSN degree preferred.
- Extensive experience in critical care or PACU setting.
- One year previous supervisory experience preferred.
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of applicable state and Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required.
- Certification in specialty required within one year of hire.
