PreOp PACU Nurse Manager

About the Role

This position is incentive eligible. As a Registered Nurse Manager at Surgicenter of Johnson County, you’ll provide clinical management and expertise over the Pre-op and PACU staff to ensure patients receive high-quality, efficient care. Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise all Pre-op and PACU areas of care.
• Establish and maintain an effective and supportive working relationship with your Administrator.
• Ensure day-to-day operations align with clinical practice standards and center policies.
• Ensure sufficient staffing daily by communicating scheduling changes to your team.
• Participate in monitoring and evaluating nursing care provided.
• Be accessible to your staff by providing breaks, ensuring coverage for meal breaks, late cases, and staffing shortages.
• Monitor your clinical area to ensure materials are available.
• Facilitate effective and efficient transitions between surgical procedures.
• Delegate, coach, mentor, and handle conflict resolution with your team.
• Build trust and gain the respect of your team through effective leadership.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Nursing, RN Diploma, or higher degree in Nursing (Required).
• 1+ years of nursing experience in a clinical setting, preferably in PACU, ICU, or Surgery.
• Active RN license as required by the state of employment.
• BCLS Certification upon employment (online certification not acceptable).
• ACLS required within 30 days of hire.
• PALS required within 30 days of hire if mandated by the facility.
