PreOp PACU Nurse Manager

About the role

Seeking a Pre-op/PACU Registered Nurse Manager for our ambulatory surgery center. You will provide clinical management and expertise over the Pre-op and PACU staff to ensure patients receive high-quality, efficient care. This role offers opportunities for future growth and upward mobility within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise all Pre-op and PACU areas of care
• Establish and maintain an effective and supportive working relationship with your Administrator
• Ensure day-to-day operations are conducted in accordance with clinical practice standards and center policies
• Ensure sufficient staffing daily by notifying your team of scheduling changes
• Participate in the monitoring and evaluation of nursing care provided
• Be accessible to your staff by providing breaks, ensuring coverage for meal breaks, late cases, and staffing shortages
• Monitor your clinical area to ensure materials are provided
• Facilitate effective and efficient transition between surgical procedures
• Delegate, coach, mentor, and handle conflict resolution with your team
• Build trust and gain the respect of your team through effective leadership

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma or higher degree in Nursing (Required)
• 1+ years of nursing experience in a clinical setting, preferably in PACU, ICU, or Surgery
• Active RN license as required by state of employment
• BCLS Certification upon employment (online certification not acceptable)
• ACLS required within 30-days of hire
• PALS if required by facility within 30-days of hire
