Assistant Nurse Manager - Outpatient Oncology Infusion

About the role

This position involves coordinating patient care in an outpatient oncology setting, managing staff, maintaining equipment, and overseeing operational efficiency. This role is safety-sensitive, requiring alertness and safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage personnel, including hiring, training, assigning work, evaluating performance, and supporting professional development.
• Assist in developing departmental staffing, revenue, and expense budgets, ensuring adherence to financial goals.
• Provide and oversee patient care aligned with individual needs, documenting interventions per policy.
• Create and implement collaborative care plans based on assessment and medical treatment.
• Supervise staff scheduling, payroll, and communications, including performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and staffing adjustments.
• Ensure staff productivity and meet departmental operational goals, conducting performance evaluations and recommending improvements.

Qualifications

• BSN required
• RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Oncology experience preferred

Skills

• Preferred 5-10 years of experience with less than 2 years of supervisory experience
