About the Role
This position involves managing neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) nursing teams, ensuring high-quality patient care, staff supervision, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Hire, train, evaluate, and develop nursing staff.
- Oversee staffing, productivity, and performance.
- Coordinate patient care plans tailored to neonatal needs, ensuring documentation and adherence to policies.
- Manage staff scheduling, overtime, payroll, and disciplinary actions.
- Lead staff meetings and communication.
- Support department budget development and ensure compliance with financial goals.
- Maintain equipment and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- RN license with a Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
- 2-5 years of RN experience, preferably in a Neonatal ICU; leadership experience is a plus.
- Strong management, communication, and organizational skills.
- Preferred: 5-10 years of experience and some supervisory background.
Schedule
Night shift availability, including one weekly 12-hour night shift, on-call rotations, and direct reports management.
